A studio space inside a historic mill building that needed converting into a usable, characterful commercial space while respecting the existing fabric.
- The work
Structural openings within the existing masonry, timber cladding and panelling, new services, roofing and weatherproofing works, and fit-out of the finished spaces.
- The approach
Working in an older building means expecting the unexpected. We opened things up carefully, dealt with the structure properly, and kept the original character where it mattered.
- The result
A warm, robust commercial space that keeps the mill's brick-and-timber character while working hard as a modern studio.
